Intelligent System for the Monitoring and Diagnostic of the Electrical Equipment - SIMDE

Project summary

The proposed project answers to the research priority direction 2.Energy, from the National Plan of Research, Development and Innovation II (RDI), 4th Program - Partners in priority domains, referring to the specific objectives 2.1.1 The increasing of the security in power supply, respective 2.1.3 The increasing of the energy efficiency on the entire power system, with special accent on the decreasing of the power losses in public and residential building and at the industrial consumers, of the priority themes 2.1 Durable power systems and technologies; power system´s security.

The proposed project it refers to design, realisation and testing of an on-line monitoring and diagnostic intelligent system for electrical equipment (circuit breakers). Through the prediction of technical state of the equipment, based on the monitoring and diagnostic, it is possible the modification of intervention moments at the equipment going from the scheduled preventive maintenance, at predictive preventive maintenance (conditioned or opportune), the natural consequence of this thing being the decreasing of maintenance cost.

The proposed project covers the initial steps of conception, design, practical realisation, testing, and acknowledges regarding at an intelligent system attachable to new or existing switchgears (circuit breakers), in specified conditions.

The proposed project will follows:

The proposed project through the inclusion in the mentioned thematic area (5.7. Smart energy networks) it connects and to scientifically and technological fields specifics to the future integrate technology platforms at European level - Technology Platform for the Electricity Networks of the Future (you see: http://europa.eu.int/comm/research/energy/index_en.htm ).
